Hawaii Online Education

Hawaiians with a degree or specialized training make more money than those without, whether they have certifications, two year, four year or advance degrees they are at an advantage. Employees looking to get farther ahead will have an easier time if they have a degree, than if they do not.
Maybe you have already been considering returning to school to finish a degree, or to start one, but you cannot seem to find a college offering the course you want or need for your degree. Or maybe you have found someplace offering those courses, but it is on another island or somewhere even farther away. Hawaii, online education can help you gain access to those classes via the Internet. The classes could be taught anywhere, but you can remain home in the Hawaiian Islands and attend a virtual classroom online.
Virtual classroom by the way doesn't always mean you have to be on the computer at a day or time, often classes are self paced and entirely self motivated and you head to the virtual classroom to ask questions of the instructor or work with fellow classmates, also to get course materials and turn in assignments. So you can attend class and do your assignments as your schedule permits, which beats rushing to a regular classroom at set times every week or missing lectures and having to hunt down someone who took good enough notes to copy and supplement what you missed.
An online education is a convenient way to get the education you need without having to travel to find classes and without having to make huge adjustments to your already busy schedule to fit in times to go to classrooms lectures, labs and still find time to do homework. Although it costs money like other traditional education settings, financial aid is available to help cover the cost of your tuition.

Internet Explosion: Indians and the Web

According to Google’s Rajan Anandan, 3 times as many Indians will be Internet users by the year 2014. Which is pretty amazing, considering that there are 100 million web users in India right now.
But that’s just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to fascinating statistics regarding Internet adoption in a booming India.
Aayush Arya gives readers a glimpse of the big picture in a recent article in TNW India, “Even with just 8% of its 1.2 billion population online, India is outranked by only USA and China in the list of countries with the most Internet users. And Google thinks that the proliferation of high-speed third-and fourth-generation telecom networks in the country, coupled with the spread of low-cost smartphones, will further the spread of Internet use in India.”
According to research by ViziSense:
  • Google Search is used by 65 million users in India
  • YouTube is visited by 23 million Indians
  • Google+, Google’s new social networking rival to Facebook, is on fire in India with over 3 million users signed up already.
  • Not that it’s over for Facebook, the world’s most popular site has almost 43 million Indian users.
While all this growth in India sounds like good news, Google’s Rajan Anandan does have a few concerns. He says the Indian government needs to adopt new policies that are friendlier to the web and he pointed out that the price of smartphones is too high and must be reduced if they are to gain mass acceptance. He also said that Google was working hard with manufacturers to bring down the cost of Androids.
The online advertising market in India is only worth $200 million of the 80 billion dollar global market. Some experts say this is because advertisers continue to pour their money into the country’s traditional media.
Something that could change dramatically by the year 2014!

Kentucky Online Education

For the great Commonwealth of Kentucky, the importance of a solid education is no less critical than in anywhere else in the United States. Whether you live in bustling Lexington or Evansville, or live in the smaller, less traveled towns of Lawrenceburg or Salyersville having a college degree can make a difference between a successful, enjoyable career in a field you enjoy or an ordinary, humdrum job just making ends meet.

Physical Barriers No Longer Apply

In recent years, getting an education meant needing to have a good deal of physical mobility and freedom and time to travel to a campus, meet with professors, visit different classroom and maintain a schedule that was set by school bureaucrats for their own arcane reasons. The only alternative was to turn to a "paper mill" school which offered only very specialized types of instruction and a degree that was not usually accredited or held much work. Distance learning was also possible if you didn't mind slow correspondence by mail and perhaps watching a few video tapes to try to get a clear understanding of what you needed to learn. Offerings in distance learning courses were also very limited with only a few classes typically available and simplest of degrees offered.
With the power of the Internet it is now possible to offer online classes to deliver an advanced education in ways that were unheard of before. Most colleges and universities in the country now offer some online component, whether it be a few simple classes or a degree program that was designed to be started and finished exclusively through online learning. All across the United States, students of all ages are using the power of the Internet to complete:
  • Associate's Degrees
  • Bachelor's Degrees
  • Master's Degrees
  • Doctorate Degrees
  • Certifications of Higher Learning
The class offerings from the various schools range from English to math and scientific courses, or psychology, history, herbalism or political science, with more courses being converted to online study every year. Far from being an inferior education, classes taken online to complete a degree offer students of every type and reason a freedom and power to enhance their own learning in ways they could not before.

Find the Right Kentucky Online Education for you

With so many choices available to you and the number growing every year, it might seem a little intimidating to get out and find the right school that offers the courses you are interested in, or the degree that you wish to pursue. Online Education Options

Thanks to the technological power of the Internet, it is possible for anyone, from the working professional to the grandparent, to seek after and achieve a higher education without relying on the traditional classroom setting in order to facilitate it. The U.S. Department of Education reports that more than 60% of college graduates in 2010 will have participated in online education in some form or another. This number is large and growing, largely due to the ease, convenience and power of technologies that make an online education possible. In an online education students can:
  • Communicate publically or privately with the instructor: Using various technologies, students in online classes can receive private podcasts from their instructor which comments on their work, e-mails, documents, or post information to a message board.
  • Communicate publically or privately with classmates: Through various features such as chat rooms or e-mail, students can set up study groups, exchange ideas, critique each others' work or just manage a friendship.
  • View their grade progress at any time: Instructors who use the online tools available to them can post grades from tests, quizzes, and assignments online in a private, secured area that only the student can access at any time to see how they are doing in the class.
  • Receive & submit work from the comfort of home: When the instructor submits an assignment, the student can receive it in several formats including an online posting or in an e-mail, complete the work, then upload the assignment to the instructor's inbox or e-mail them back.
